Why recycle waste water?

It is said that there is no such thing as “waste,” just misplaced resources. Wastewater recycling systems turn wastewater and its nutrients into useful resources. Why irrigate with drinking water when most plants thrive on used water containing small bits of compost?

Unlike many ecological stopgap measures, wastewater use is part of the fundamental solution to many ecological problems. It will probably remain an essentially unchanged feature of ecological houses in the future.

Wastewater systems can reduce potable water consumption by 90%

What is Grey Water?

Grey water is made up of bath, shower, bathroom sink and washing machine water. It may be reused for other purposes, especially landscape irrigation.

What is Black Water?

Blackwater is any wastewater that is contaminated with water discharged from a toilet. Compared to greywater recycling, it is often more practical to recycle blackwater as most plumbing systems don’t separate greywater streams e.g. showers, basins.
